Before Christmas I was set a task in my uni class to take some Bokeh photography (For those who don't know what Bokeh is, it's where you taken out of focus shots, usually of light). I thought with the Christmas tree having so many different coloured flashing lights, what could have been better timing!! So before the Christmas tree gets packed up, I tried to get some good shots. I've never done Bokeh before so it was a bit of a shot in the dark, it's definitely something like I'd like to try again. But with that being said I'm still quite proud with how some of my images came out, I've got some of my photos below, how you enjoy :)

The Start Of A Beautiful New Journey??
First off, I hope you all have had a lovely Christmas and New Year. As I didn't do a Christmas blog I thought I'd do a little unofficial review of one of the Christmas presents I received. I was given a 7dayshop Tripod (I've put a link to to the website if you want to check it out). I always get excited when I get new stuff for my camera, so I was delighted to get a tripod. Usually I photograph everything with the camera being hand held, which as you can image has it's ups and downs. Up side, I'm free to move and do whatever I need to ... Downside, sometimes I catch camera shake which isn't ideal. So my new tripod is rather basic but very simple and easy to use. It's nice and light which makes it ideal for if I want to travel with it. The tripod is 165cm (5ft5) which is ideal as that is roughly my height. All in all I'm extremely happy with my new tripod and I'm hoping this could be a start of a beautiful journey of photos for 2015.
Hope you all have a happy and healthy 2015 :)

My Photography Wish-List
So in the spirit of Christmas coming up I thought it would be fun to make a little photography based wish-list. Because I'm only just starting out there are a couple things that I either don't have or are rather out-dated and need replacing.
Christmas wish-list:
- A new tripod
- Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro Nikon-f (Lens)
- Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D (Lens)
- Colour filters for my lens
- Working Photoshop for Windows 8
- Softbox lighting
- Background stand
I know I won't get them all if any, but a girl can dream. So does anyone have a Christmas wish-list written out just yet?? Let me know in the comments below.
